I was raised to believe in the American Dream. That powerful belief that if you work hard and play by the rules, you will be able to go as far as your talent, enthusiasm and work ethic may take you. This dream is for everyone – no matter who you are or where your family comes from, whether your father was a scholar from Kenya or an immigrant from Ireland.
But for too many families, it is becoming harder to realize this goal. With growing income inequality and a lack of adequate investment in our most powerful national resource, our citizens, we’re in danger of losing sight of what makes our country the wonderful and dynamic place that it is. I ran for Congress and am serving to change that.
We need leaders in Washington who understand and will work for the middle and working class and will fight for them every single day. Whether it is investing in our national infrastructure to promote job growth, making college more affordable or ensuring that every single American has access to safe and affordable healthcare, we need policies and policymakers that are working toward these and other goals that will make our communities, our region and our country a better place to live, work and raise a family.
I consider it my privilege to have the opportunity to serve my constituents and will fight on their behalf every single day. Please click any of the issues below to see the work I am doing.
Sincerely,

Brendan
